Sims 4 saves disappeared and cannot access the gallery

I have attempted to open my Sims 4 game today and have been greeted with the completely original loading screen. My packs are there but it is as though I have never played the game before, all the items are starred as being new.

I have none of my old saves and there is no sims gallery for me to use my old sims either.

I feel I have tried everything. I removed my Mods, deleted any corrupt/ malfunctioning data, removed my old saves, deleted and redownloaded the EA app and have tried to repair the game about 10 times (it gets to 50% and then tells me it has gone haywire and to seek technical support).

I have spoken to someone from EA through the online chat, they directed me to a forum on how to access old saves. I followed the instructions and had the same result, they then told me that it sounds like a bug and they cannot fix it. They directed me to the online forums, so until I have an answer, I am in the exact same position as when I started.

If anyone has any ideas or has experienced this, please let me know. Thank you.

  • @xxaimeerlxx  It sounds like you may have loaded the Legacy Edition, which has no Gallery access and uses the original loading screen.  The easiest way to fix this is through Origin, so please see if you can reinstall and run it.  There's no need to uninstall the EA App; just don't try to run both at the same time.

Within Origin, open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.  Then right-click the icon again and choose Game Properties > Advanced Launch Options, then choose 64-bit from the dropdown menu.  Before trying to play, set an exception in your antivirus for TS4_x64.exe.

If you can't run Origin, you can repair through the EA App instead: open My Collection, hover over the Sims 4 icon, click the three dots, and select Repair.  There's no way to choose the 64-bit version of the game within the App though.

If the above doesn't help, please let me know what antivirus you use.
