Sims 4 "See Whats Happening" Glitch..

Yesterday, I went to play the Sims since I haven't played it in a long time.

Before I actually opened The Sims, I cleaned out my mods folder and installed some new CC and mods.

(My only mods I have now are the 4 Columns in CAS, Blob Remover for CAS, and CAS Pastel Background. I also have LOTS of CAS clothing, but only about 5 pieces of CC Furniture.)

Whenever I place my new household in their apartments (City Living), they will be fine for a second. All of a sudden, the oldest one (In this case, the mom) Will get embarrassed because her privacy was invaded. Her kids will also get embarrassed because they 'saw something they shouldn't have seen'. Sometimes if I distract them by letting them play with their dollhouses, they will be fine, but when they actually finish playing, they become embarrassed again.

And what's even worse is whenever I ask my kids to do their homework, they will do it. After a while, they would get up and "See What's Happening" and either be idle standing there or sit back down doing nothing. This would continue to loop and it just gets annoying, because I can never have my sims do an action without seeing what's happening.

Could it be one of my mods?

  • some CC clothing (especially skinny jeans) is made using the nude mesh, this can cause sims to react as if the sim is walking around naked.

Like @nottsgman, it's probably one of your cc glitching.

Try to remove all mods/cc and see if the game works better, just to make sure the game is fine.
For example, move the mods folder from C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to your Desktop and start the game.

If that works but you want to keep your mods, you can try some different things to sort out the ones not working:

    • If your problem occurred after a certain mod haul, remove all these new mods (see if the game works), and then add back a few at a time, restarting the game in between until you see the problem occurring again. Remember that you can possible have several broken mods.
    • If the problem started after the latest patch/update, always make sure to update your mods when you update your game. Check this list out for some mods that were broken in the C&D-patch! A few others have been broken after but not so many that there is a list.

    • Download Sims 4 Studio and do batch-fixes for your cc.
    • Search for the Mod Conflict Detector on google and run it, see if it can detect some broken/conflicting mods, remove these and try your game again. (Only detects conflicts between mods, not between mods and the game)
    • Like the first "solution", but for all your mods. Remove all and put back some at a time to find broken ones (last resort if you have like 1000 mods).

    Good Luck!
