Sims 4 start-up error 0xc000007b

I just bought and downloaded The Sims 4 and every time I try to run it, a pop-up window opens, telling me that the game can't start correctly with the error code 0xc000007b. List of things I tried: ...

    Yea, it was a Windows issue. I had to reinstall my Windows 7 for it to work. Thanks for the reply.

    @Phantomlover1717 Just FYI for anyone looking here...the link to tomshardware no longer works directly, you must go to search browser and ACTUALLY SEARCH USING THE ENTIRE LINK. My issue was a C++ update that Windows wasn't doing automatically for some reason...
