Sims 4 stuck on loading screen for a saved game

I know this problem has been mentioned multiple times, but I wanted to atleast try. My game was working fine yesterday, until I was traveling and then it was an endless loading screen. So I restarted again but after a few minutes, it froze again. Now this time, it won’t load my saved games at all. It’s just completely stuck on loading, didn’t freeze or anything. I tried everything, restarting my pc, repairing game files, reinstalling the game, removing all corrupted mods, but nothing works. Please help! When I try to go to build mode it loads, but for the actual live mode, it doesn’t. Anything else I can do?

  • @blairehahaha  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If the new save works, copy one of the old saves from the old Sims 4 folder to the new one, and test it too.

If even the new save won't load, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

At what point does the game recognize my progress again? because I just tried this and now I think I just lost all of my progress

  • KitanaxKai  Your saves are in the folder you moved, as I said in my previous post.  If you want them back, you need to move them to the new Sims 4 folder.
