Sims 4 takes too long to save

I played my game for many hours yesterday, completing a house for my new family. I went to save and exit and ended up waiting for my game to save for nearly 30 minutes. I left it alone to see if it would be saved and done in the morning, but my computer fell asleep. When I turned my computer back on, the game was still in the middle of saving. It is still in the middle of saving now, and I'm afraid to just shut down my computer and lose hours of progress.

    I don't think it will save. Sounds like it's stuck saving.

    Are you using custom content or mods in your game ?

    I did remove of my mods and cc, the game seems to work perfectly fine now. Thank you for your help :-)

     how do you cancel the saving as i have the same problem .PLS help

    Same happened with me 😭 I lost my ENTIRE family!!!

    I don’t have any custom content or mods and just lost about an hour of gameplay / my life to the game getting stuck saving for an hour before I forced it to quit and had to repair the game.

    After spending hundreds of dollars on this game and also an EA subscription should we not expect it to provide the literal basic functionality?
