Sims 4 (Toddler patch) in-game issue

I hate to say this but I am getting a serious game bug as I just made a family of 3 (2 adults and a toddler) and when I put them into a lot and I found only 2 appear to be playable (mother and toddler shown to be playable, father is not shown) and when i selected to speak to another sim, the action would not follow and if I try to click on the object to use, the animation would not function and the sim would reset each time (go into a resetting animation - arms apart and legs apart and the task would not be working) even the walking animation has a issue when they would walk and them jump (teleport) with the reset animation (arms apart and legs apart)

The needs would deplete as normal but I cannot get their needs up if I cannot complete any task I give to the sims. This bug has never happened to me before I put in the patch and I think it is now unplayable to me

. Can someone help me resolve this, please?

    I do have some mods in the game but they never clashed with the game like this so I will disable them to be sure and the toddler I made is a female and the parent sims are premade before the patch was installed.

    ok, i have disabled the mods and I put the sims back into the lot I had them in (i did not save the game, but at least the family I used is saved) and now all 3 sims are now playable and seem to be moving fine, but I do not know if the mods are to blame for this or that I just needed to reset the game to fix it. I will save the game for now and enable the mods to see if it is that what caused the bug or not.

    turns out that my mods are affecting the game and I might have to get rid off some to stop it, so you were right and thank you for helping me find the solution.

    have you tried turning back on the mods to see if it works or will there have to be a new update before we could use mods again?

    Mods need updating with patches. That's how it's always been.

    Check with the creators of the mods if they have new versions available or remove the mods

    This is a big change so many mods will break

    I turned off the mods and started the game and it was working and when i turned on the mods and scripts, it had the same issue as before

    I think the wicked whims mod needs to be updated, but I have removed it and not all the other mods I have and the game works fine

    Other mods can also cause issue you might not realize now. Best to do is check them with the creators if they have deemed them safe
