Sims 4 update causing issues with mods

Hi, so I am not a very computer capable person, but I finally figured out how to download mods and everything for Sims 4. I have a macbook and the clothing/hair/lots/mods that I downloaded all worked...

    Remove those mods that caused it to break again.

There's an option in the game setting they allows you to tirn the mods back on, because it gets turned off when the game updates. Try going into "Other," turning the mod option back on, and restarting

ive done that, the problem is that when i add the mods back to the mod folder the game wont even open anymore, it just crashes
