Sims 4 update stuck on preparing
Hi.
I'm on PC. and Ive tried SO many things now.
removed the cache on the app, restarted the computer, EA app online and offline,
Ive tried to cansle the download of the update, and even trie...

Sims 4 won't update on PC. Keep getting the error message -
Something went wrong. An unknown error occurred. Restart the EA app and try again, or reach out to our support team for help.
I've restarted the app numerous times, restarted my laptop and cleared the cache. I've reached out to advisors and have followed the steps to update graphics drivers etc and still keep on getting the same error message. It says prepping and gets to 60% and then the message pops up. Tried to repair the game and again get the error message
Any ideas?
- @Cat201111 Go under settings, downloads and scroll down to enable background downloads...I dont know why but that seemed to have worked...I'm already at like 50% downloaded
I’ve tried that but it won’t work for me. I can go offline on the EA app and play the sims that way however because it won’t update the game I can’t play the for rent pack that I bought which is disappointing
