Sims 4 white screen crash after entering household

I’m at a loss here. I play on Windows 11. I mostly see people talking about the dreadful white screen crash when they first open their Sims 4 game, but mine occurs when I enter whatever household I’m playing. Things will run as normal, then slow down and freeze up as the screen turns white, before returning back to normal. This continues until my computer screen flashes white and then black and then white again, remaining stuck on that screen, so my only option is to force quit. This has been an issue for around a year, I’ve noticed it gets worse when I have less storage on my computer available though. This is also an issue in my Sims 2 game, same thing happens, except the screen turns a different color and doesn’t fade to black, just keeps flickering to a solid colored screen. Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated, thank you so much.
