Sims 4 will not close

@Leelosingmarbles Please answer a few other questions:
- Does the game ever freeze at any other point, as in not when you're trying to quit?
- Does the game freeze if you click "exit without saving"?
- Do you use OneDrive?
- Does the game freeze if you play while your computer is offline? You can sign into Origin and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.
The game only ever freezes if I click "exit without saving" or "save and exit".
I do not use OneDrive
The game does not freeze if I play offline, I've played the game a few times offline like on a plane and while the power was out.
@Leelosingmarbles Please try playing while your computer is online but Origin is in offline mode and let me know whether you get a freeze. If you do, please try playing in a clean boot, again with Origin offline but your computer online.

When you reboot, go through the Task Manager's background processes list and shut down anything that doesn't absolutely need to be enabled. If you kill the wrong process by accident and it doesn't restart automatically, just reboot your computer.
