Sims 4 won't download on EA app

I havent played in a few months and tried installing the game, but it keeps getting stuck on preparing and after a few minutes it will say "Something went wrong with the download. Please try again later" My expansion packs download, but the base game will not. No matter what I try. Speaking of, I have tried the following:
-clear cache
-uninstall EA and SIms, restart PC and reinstall
-downloading from steam and linking EA account
-downloading base game to C:/Games rather than C:/Program Files/Games
-downloading on my SSD rather than Local Disk
-downloading to Games file in SSD instead of Program files
I NEED HELP :'(
