I bought a brand new computer today. I cannot download The Sims 4. Everytime I try I get Download Error or We're experiencing a problem. Please try again. I have tried clearing the cache and resstarting the app. I don't know what else to do.
I had the same problem and tried all the other suggestions. It was only when I searched on my whole PC for all directories named "sims 4", and deleted these old folders, that I was able to download the base game.
Which is weird, because the old files were on the C drive, while I'm downloading to the E drive, so why is the EA app scanning my whole PC, and getting hung up on an old folder in an unrelated drive?
