Sims 4 won't download onto my windows 10 laptop !

I have bought Sims 4 digital deluxe on my origin account and every time i click download it says preparing download fro around 6 minutes the some thing comes up saying and error has occurred. I have been trying to download the game since 25/12/15 and it sill wont work. I then decided to buy the disk to see if that changes anything but it hasn't. A few days ago it (when i bought the disk) I tried it on my laptop (windows 10) it said preparing installation. So I left it like that for about an hour and it hadn't changed so i turned it off and said I'll try another day. So i tried it this morning ad it didn't say preparing installation, it went back to saying preparing download and that an error has occurred. Please help asap !
