12 years agoSims 4 won't install
I have downloaded the Sims 4 through Origin (after trying to install from disc didn't work) and it won't install. It downloads, finishes, then says it's installing but won't let me play after the ins...
honestly. you are screwed. EA "advisors" will talk you in circles. they will tell you to repeat the same steps over and over. after making you repeat the same steps, they will end the chat to let you redownload, just to have the same problem and wait, again, for another "advisor" to tell you to do the same steps..again...and again...this is a joke. they will tell you this is a isolated event and "uncommon", but obviously many, many, people are having the same problem. EA has again left its paying customers out to dry after spending $60 on a headache. Thank you. Spent 5 hours going back and forth with your "advisors". Will be returning your game.
This exact story is a replica of my last week. Bought a Sims 3 expansion, talked to 2 or 3 different "EA advisors" on chat, all which had to end because they made me restart my computer. I've spent DAYS trying to fix this only to have wasted $30 and much of my personal time. Deleting and reinstalling Origin, Sims 3 and all my expansions twice was really useless.
They made me make a whole new account on my computer, turn off my firewall and antivirus and change handfuls of my computer settings. My computer now runs slower than ever because of the * they made me do to it, which still did not even fix my problem.
I just want my money back and for EA to not have any association with Origin, aka the worst gaming platform of my life. I really wish I had bought The Sims on Steam. Will literally go out of my way to tell people to download elsewhere. Unreal.
