Sims 4 won't install

I tried clicking on Sims 4 install and when I do a message box pops up saying Certificates do not match! Dev: Cert check failed! Check Origin build. The boxes continue to pop up until I end the origin process. I have tried running Origin as admin. I also have turned my UAC all the way down. I'm not sure what to do next. I have the game paid for and the transaction says complete.

Try the following:

Click on your window button. In the search tab type regedit. This should prompt your for a UAC - click yes to authorize it. The Registry editor will load.

Now look for [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Maxis\The Sims 4

If its not there you should create the key there. Once created you will need to create the following string values:

“GDFBinary”=”C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\__Installer\GDFBinary_en_US.dll”
“DisplayName”=”The Sims™ 4"
“Locale”=”en_US”
“Install Dir”=”C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\”

Try to update Origin, or reinstall it using the latest version of Origin (this will not uninstall your games):

The message boxs have stopped popping up. The problem is now when I click on Install on the sims 4 icon it says Install complete at the bottom but when I scroll over sims 4 it still says to install it and the game is not lauching. I'm still running origin as admin.

I could not find the Maxis folder under the WOW6432Node folder. I tried looking for it everywhere but I could not find it.

Francois, I'm not a regular registry editor. When you list the two values beside the = is one the Name and one the Data? And when you list those values with double-quotes, are you intending that we enter them in the registry strings or only the string value exclusive of the quotes (I've tried it with and without)?
I'm not getting the dialog box and error message that the OP is getting, but I do seem to be in a similar installation loop. I hit install, it acts like it installs in essentially no time (half a second?) and then appears to be installed. Except that when I mouse over the Sims 4 cover, it prompts me to install.

The left is the name of the string, the right is the data you should enter, correct. The double quotes shouldn't be entered.

Essentially, you end up with something that looks like this:

Be exceedingly careful when editing your registry.

I would advise first to try the following:

Make sure Origin is whitelisted by your antivirus and firewall.

Run Origin in admin mode and install the game.

If this doesn't help, try reinstalling Origin altogether.

so i attempted to do the registry editor and it wont load it. it said theres a error in the system...
