@emma_g345 Among the many things you tried, did you ever move the entire Sims 4 user folder to the desktop? Moving the Mods folder inside was a good idea, but it's possible for the folder to contain other corrupt files as well.
If this doesn't or didn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

And let me know what antivirus you use. I've seen two reports recently that Surfshark is causing problems with Sims 4, but a few others block the game from time to time as well.

Open game in : C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin_LE
Problem solved for me
- 2 years ago@rachelesther1506 I'm afraid this doesn't work for me as I don't seem to have the 'Origin Games' file that you refer to. I'm glad you were able to solve this, though! Happy Gaming! 🙂
- 2 years ago@emma_g345 Maybe the same acces road but with "EA" instead of "Origin Games" ? Search "The sims 4/Game" (in a random "program" folder) if there is "Bin" folders inside (two differents folders approximativly)
Therefore, you don't need to open the EA launcher with this method. 🙂
Thanks !
