I purchased Sims 4 via download. It worked for a few days, now won't open at all. Just before it stopped working altogether, it was having issues where my Sims would show "at work", but were actually in the house. But, because it showed they were "at work", it wouldn't let me open their Needs Menu.

I'm having a similar problem. My game wouldn't exit correctly today, so I ended it manually through task manager. Now when I try to play my Sims, they are all "stuck." I can see them, but they don't move. Their needs are going down, but I can't help them. Poor Sims. ☹️ The game will load, but whenever I pick a household and go to play, the Sims are stuck and if I try to go back to the world to pick a new family, it gets stuck on the loading screen. I'm scared I did something wrong, I've only had this game for 10 days and I paid a lot of money for it. ☹️ I hope someone can help.
Would a full uninstall/reinstall be in my best interest?
I suspect this is due to the official Origin update today. The beta update a few days back did the same thing to a friend of mine. When he reverted to the latest Origin before the beta, all was well, as it was with my own issue of online in-game after the beta, which has now struck again because of the official Origin update (sigh).
