Sims 4 Wont Load
Merry Christmas to all.
I've been having this issue for about 2 days now and it only happened after I purchased Snowy Escapes. I have no mods installed. I used to play with them but I deleted my Sims 4 Folder, uninstalled and reinstalled the game. When I try to play the game it opens, I see the Sims 4 words and then it minimizes, if I maximize it I just get a white screen.
Things I've tried:
Deleting the localcache (worked at first but not anymore.)
Repairing
Uninstalling/Reinstalling
Deleting/Moving the Sims 4 game file.
When I delete/move the Sims 4 game file, the game loads up and I'm able to play but if I save, exit and try to open the game later, it doesn't work. Kinda frustrating.
Can someone assist me please, I would love to enjoy the new pack.
@chaoticmess It's interesting that you can play once in a clean folder before the game stops working again. Do you have OneDrive enabled and set to automatically sync the contents of Documents? Do you have a cleaner app running?
Please try playing while your computer is completely offline. You can sign into Origin and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before launching the game. Please try this twice, once with a clean user folder and a second time with that same folder in place, to see if you can get the game to load the second time.
The type of Sims 4 error in your dxdiag is most often related to the graphics driver, but the fact that you can play once makes that less likely. Still, if other steps don't work, you can try a clean uninstall and reinstall of the driver. (You already have the latest version offered by Dell for your laptop.) Since that's a bit of a production though, it's probably easier to try other, simpler interventions first.
