@futileknowledge This could be a mods issue, but it also could be due to OneDrive trying and failing to sync the content of Documents. So try pausing syncing and cancelling the current sync:
If that helps, the more permanent fix is to prevent OneDrive from syncing the contents of Documents at all:
You can still upload files manually; the point is to prevent it from happening automatically and outside your control.
i tried this and it didn't even give me the option... im confused on how onedrive sync will help with my save issue anyways...

@futileknowledge If OneDrive is full or can't sync the contents of Documents for some other reason, it may block Sims 4 from writing to your user folder, which is inside Documents. That's where your saves are located, so if the game can't write to that folder, it can't save your progress. So please try the steps I listed relating to OneDrive.

@puzzlezaddict wait, which folder should i cancel the syncing on?? the entire sims 4 folder or like my saves folder?

@futileknowledge I'd cancel syncing on the entire Documents folder, at least for now. But if you prefer, you can start with the Electronic Arts folder instead. The saves folder alone may not be enough, I mean it should fix the saving issue alone, but you could run into other problems down the line, for example if you download a lot from the Gallery or try to save one you've built.
