@puzzlezaddict wait, which folder should i cancel the syncing on?? the entire sims 4 folder or like my saves folder?
@futileknowledge I'd cancel syncing on the entire Documents folder, at least for now. But if you prefer, you can start with the Electronic Arts folder instead. The saves folder alone may not be enough, I mean it should fix the saving issue alone, but you could run into other problems down the line, for example if you download a lot from the Gallery or try to save one you've built.

@puzzlezaddict i coundnt do the entire documents folder so i did the ea folder and it deleted all my stuff and reset my entire game???? was that supposed to happen.. i backed up my mods but i didnt back up any of my saves, so i just lost all of that.. it also wont recognize any mods put into the mods folder and simply starts deleting them each time i open it up?

After a long hiatus I just got back into Sims and yesterday I installed a clean game and a ton of the expansions (no mods) and I had this same issue, the game would not save. I haven't been able to save any progress :c

@futileknowledge Check OneDrive's Documents folder for any Sims 4 content. OneDrive shouldn't have deleted anything if you merely paused syncing; the whole point is that it leaves those files alone for a while.
For the game data missing or damaged message, with OneDrive still not syncing your files, please move the Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, then try to play again. All your data will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily not read by the game. The point is to see whether Sims 4 loads properly with a clean folder in place, then start adding back your mods and other data and testing it as you go.

@puzzlezaddict I try to move it to my desktop and it'll give me this error for multiple files.
