Sims 4's problem

Sounds like the game itself has defaulted to a resolution/refresh rate that is incompatible with your monitor, as that sounds like an error message displayed by the monitor itself.
Try this:
- Go to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 and open the file options.ini with notepad.
- Find resolutionheight and change the value to 768
- Find resolutionwidth and change the value to 1366
- Finally, change the resolutionrefresh to 60
- Save the file.
- Try the game again.
