Sims can't run because of account issues

I've been playing Sims for more than 2 years. I haven't had any problems in the meantime. But suddenly the game won't open since a week ago. My account is already connected to Steam. But every time I start playing, it says to connect to Steam. So when I type in my account, it says it's already connected and tells me to type in a new account. I keep looking it up, but I'm nervous that none of the people who have had the same problem as me have solved it. How can I fix it

    @yunlee1  Try signing into an EA website (this one is fine) with your Steam credentials.  If you land in the correct EA account, they're linked properly, and we can try to figure out why the launchers aren't talking to each other.

    If anything else happens, there's a problem with the link, and you'll need to contact EA customer support.  I would strongly recommend using the live chat option rather than email.  If you don't see it, try a slightly different category of issue.  Or you can use the site without signing in.  Some categories allow you to continue without an active login, and those typically offer live chat.

    EA support is closed until the 26th.
