Sims Delivery Error 00000008:00000000000000c8
Hi,
I'm having a problem with this error code. It didn't happen when I first downloaded the game but whenever I open the Sims this error pops up and it's not letting me access any of my saves. I've read other posts and tried everything to get rid of this but nothing seems to be working. I tried removing all my mods, restarting my PC, clean booting my PC, clearing game cache, playing in offline mode, repairing the game in steam, and uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I tried to repair the game on EA but there is no option for me to do that in manage, the only option that pops up is manage add-ons. I also tried to make exceptions for the files in windows controlled folder access but I can't access it, it just comes up with page not available when I try to open controlled folder access. I had this issue not long ago and I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, this seemed to fix the issue and my sims ran fine without the error, but the error message came back today after an automatic delivery and I can't seem to get rid of it.
I'm playing on a Windows 10 Pro and the packs I own are Cats and Dogs and Horse Ranch. I have build and CAS CC.
I'm really not sure what else to do to fix this and I'm not very good at technology, but this error is stressing me out and stopping me from playing. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
Thank you
@JulioLikesCats When you've installed the game through Steam, you can only repair through Steam, not the EA App. So that's normal. And if you use a third-party antivirus, Windows Defender should automatically disable itself and associated features like Controlled Folder Access.
For the issue itself, try pausing OneDrive syncing. You can see the option by right-clicking the cloud icon in the lower-right corner of the screen.
If that doesn't help, please let me know what you mean when you say you can't access your saves. Are they not showing up at the Main Menu, are they there but you can't load them, or something else?
@vixmercury02 I've merged your post with another thread on the same subject. Please try pausing OneDrive syncing, as described above.
