Sims icon is grayed out

I have searched the other subjects but none seem similar to my problem.

Can't start my Sims 4.

My sims 4 Icon on origin is grayed out so I can't select the play button.

If I start The Sims from program files nothing happends.

I tried renaming my sims4 in my documents so sims 4 would run without mods but no response.

Have restarted my computer, checked taskmanager to see if the process sims4 was already running but it isnt running.

The option repair game isn't showing when. When look at details i can repair get to work and nature but without any results.

I tried searching for an update but also no response.

Tried playing offline but it has the same result button is still grayed out.

I want to reinstall my sims but I dont know how and I dont know if it would have any effect since the sims icon is grayed out in Origin.

Please help

Okay, So I checked older posts and I found a topic from november 2014 wich suggested to clear my local content.

I did that en restarted origin and it worked!!

I cleared the folder in this location: C:\ProgramData\Origin\LocalContent\The Sims 4

    (folder is hidden)

Or this, when the game also is grayed out.

The game is grayed out in Origin

First you need to check if your payment has gone through. Unless your order says fulfilled, you won't be able to download. If you have issues with your payment, you'll need to contact a game advisor.

    • Log out and back in
    • Check on the Status of your order to see if it has processed. If it still says processing, make sure your credit card info is up-to-date
    • Restart Origin
    • Reinstall Origin
    • Start Origin as administrator
    • Make sure Origin is online (click on the spoiler below to view an examplary screenshot)
