Sims4 not recognizing 64bit after update

Very early this morning my Sims 4 updated before I played it. When the game started a pop-up warning told me that I was trying to run a 64bit game on a 32bit machine. I closed the warning and loaded my game to test it. It played fine except loading worlds & entering live mode both were slow. I closed the game and checked my computer's settings to see if something had changed, but found no reason for the game to think I'm running 32bit instead of 64bit. I loaded the game again to see if it was a one-time thing but I am getting the same error every time. I am running Windows 8.1 64bit operating system, AMD E1-1200 APU with Radeon HD Graphics 1.40GHz, 4GB RAM. This is the same computer I have been playing the game on since I bought it almost a year ago. I have no expansions and only have the Life of the Party Digital Content & Holiday Celebration Pack. I use several mods, but they were all disabled when I first got this warning.

Since you have only 4 GB of RAM, it might be better to run the 32 bit version instead of the 64 bit one. That was what the game was trying to tell you.

So it should be running 64 bit right now, but the benefits for you are very slim.

I would go back to 32 bit instead in your case.
