Skills tab won't open

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.75.125.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Seasons, Cats & Dogs, City Living, Discover University, Laundry Day Stuff, Fitness Stuff, Vampires
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? idk
What happens when the bug occurs? Recently everytime I try to open and see my sims' skills, the skills tab won't open when I click it. Sometimes it works though, but only for 1 sim of the household.  Also, sometimes the left corner where the sims' picture shows up glitches and doesn't show up, or their moodlets, I can still play, but when it happens I can't switch the sim. To fix it I have to close and open my game.
What do you expect to see? Him and the sim bathing him either teleport next to the tub or the sim takes the toddler out of the tub instantly
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

The only skills mod I have is some romance skill mod, and it's from one of these mods: Slice of Life, Road to Romance, or Passionate Romance (I'm not sure which one it's from lol)

Other major big mod I have is Basemental

  • @tal0nsama Hi! So your issue does sound like it's related to mods.  First, check that you have the most recent and updated versions of your mods.  If you have the most recent versions, the best thing to do is move your mods (maybe create a temporary folder on your desktop for them) and delete the localthumbcache.package file located in the Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 folder.  That cache file may carry effects from mods even when they've been removed so that step is important.  Then open your game and see if the skills panel is available.  If it's working as it should, then you can test your mods, adding one at a time (deleting the cache file each time) to see which one is causing the problem.

  • Hello, thank u for ur advice. I updated all of my mods today and the glitches are still there, and I don't think the issue is the mods since I uptated them all
