Specs gaming pc recommendations for sims 4

Hi  Looking to invest in a gaming laptop so I can finally play The Sims 4 with lots of mods and CC - Ive seen someone sell for £400 a laptop and was wondering if someone could help me in figuring if...

    @EmmXOX  If your budget is £400 and you're comfortable buying a used laptop, then this is about as good as you're going to be able to find.  New gaming laptops, even slower than this one, are always more expensive, and the laptops in the £400 range can typically only run Sims 4 on medium-high settings, at least with most packs installed.  The specs you've listed are overkill for Sims 4 even with lots of mods and custom content, so if you're happy with this option, go ahead and get it.

    I would however test the laptop itself before paying for it.  The free version of 3DMark from Steam is a good test.  As long as the laptop doesn't crash while running Time Spy and its scores are around the average for the processor and graphics card, you're probably fine.  The test only takes a few minutes.
