5. Login.
6. Play.
Did you ever have Sims on Origin Access or otherwise played on on Origin before ?

- crinrict5 years agoHero+@DDRacing29 OK. so you were asked to connect the accounts.
If you go to your account here: https://myaccount.ea.com/cp-ui/aboutme/index .. does Steam show up as connected account ?- 5 years ago
no the only thing that is there is my PSN account from back in PS3 days. Steam isn't getting linked.
- crinrict5 years agoHero+@DDRacing29 Guess that's the issue then if it didn't properly link.
Not sure I can help you further with that.
Have you contacted EA Support yet ?

Yes bro, I just bought sims 4 and I’m having such a hard time even trying to get the game running. My origins account is asking for the product code so it knows I have the sims but I never got any type of code.

@John1803Metcalf The typical reason this happens is you're signed into the "wrong" Origin account, as in, not the one linked to the Steam account that owns Sims 4. Make sure you're in the correct account and try again.
If you're not sure what account to use, go to ea.com, click the sign-in button and then the Steam logo, and enter your Steam credentials. Then check which email address is listed in your Origin profile. That's the email you need to use when signing into Origin.
