I can’t add impressions to the style board, if you watch several sims 4 videos on youtube you should be able to gather impressions and get the buff via the sketchpad and then add the impressions to the styleboard. But for some reason i never get the buff and i can’t find the option on the sketchpad..
Are you at the correct career level? My style influence just got to level 3 and now has the photo impression option available on the phone, which wasn't available before at lower levels.
I think I have a higher level style influencer in another house that can sketch impressions, but that was after they got high enough career level to get the free sketchpad.
My sim is at level 6 in her career and I'm having the same problem. The pie wheel only gives me the option to paint from reference or put in inventory/place in world.
Hi @BeckizZz97 - Have you tried moving your mod folder out to see if a mod is interfering with the interactions?
I just started my Style Influencer career sim, she's only level 4 but has been able to get the impression buff from the sketchpad, and from paintings and things, from at least level 2, I think. The sketchpad has added different types of paintings that she can do as she levels up her painting skills. It might be related to the painting skill? I'm trying to remember, to the best I can recall, it seems like she couldn't gather impressions at all until she was at least level 2 on painting.
I have to click on "more choices" to see the "Sketch Impressions" button. Here's a couple of screenshots of my choices. This sim is currently Level 4 in the career; Painting-6, Writing-5, Charisma-5, and Photography-3. I'm certain I could do the sketch pad without any skill in the photography, but the painting may be the one that is required. I do remember being able to sketch impressions from the first menu, when I only had 2 or 3 choices of painting.
I got my sim up to level 4 in the Stylist career, with painting skill at barely level 1 and quick sketch impression is available on the tablet. So the only requirement I've noticed so far is just being level 4 of the career.

@BeckizZz97 Just a quick note - I've found that you don't necessarily get an impression buff every time. Often, I have to do a sketch impression on the sketchpad, maybe view impression on a painting or two, and/or use the friendly discuss options with other sims in order to get a buff. (Sometimes, just one thing will do it, other times it takes multiple tries). Also, you can't get another impression to add until the last impression buff moodlet wears off.
Obviously, you said you can't find the option on the sketchpad, so that's a problem, but you should be able to gather impressions and get the buff elsewhere. Try the museum - view impressions on paintings and sculptures to see if you get the buff. (and to reiterate, I'm not an expert on this at all, just learning as I go too, so there may be other more obvious things to try that I don't know)
@StilettoSims@crinrict - Sometime after I posted my pics of the sketchpad menu, my digitalistic sketchpad stopped working and went to the same issue that you're having - only the option to "Paint from Reference" or "Place In Inventory/World" was there. I don't know what made it happen, but buying a new sketchpad did solve it. I tested both selling the old one and keeping the old one in personal inventory & in household inventory. In all cases, the new sketchpad works properly and the "old" sketchpad stays bugged.
Crin - I don't know what you mean by "have a reset on them". I had another glitch on a different Sim, where that Sim was listed as "at work", but was home. However, I went back through the saves and was able to see that the sketchpad stopped working correctly before I "fixed" the at-work-when-at-home problem. I see someone has posted something similar on this problem, I will reply with those details in that thread.
I have base game and romantic garden installed, plus Grim's ghoulish guitar and the holiday celebration pack. No mods or custom content / never used. This glitch happened after updating to the Dec 20 hotfix, so if it was supposed to be fixed in the December patch, I am sorry to report that it seems to not have worked. Game version 1.48.94.1020

Basically, Sims resets on using sketchpad = broken sketch pad and you need to buy a new one.
There was an issue with the pool that was fixed but it's possible that the sketch pad still has another issue. It did seem related to the pool at the time. Def. not the same exception though.

Gotchya. I've never used a pool, so this time it isn't related to that. I uploaded save files from before and after the sketchpad broke, along with the exception file. lmk if there is a better post that I should report this, or if you want me to start a new one. Thanks!
