Texture Glitch And Crashing (not tiles this time)
After the Love Struck update I noticed the texture glitch around the corners of my lot but instead of tiling they look like air brush. Sometimes the game would start with them as I loaded in, sometimes they gradually began and changed as the day went on. I also notice them on other lots within Henford on Bagley but no other worlds (I do have played sims in the other worlds). My game began crashing around the 10 min mark of playing when on my main lot and then randomly on other lots within Henford on Bagly.
I removed my mods and cc, repaired the game, deleted cache, even updated my drivers lmao etc, bulldozed my main lot and found that within that world the texture glitch remains + crashing (honestly it started crashing faster after I removed my mods lol)
I made a new save file, placed my main lot from the glitch save and it didn't have the texture issue (at that point I only played for about 10 mins) but still crashed randomly. Also, its the second day of fall, there are no holidays, events or birthdays.
I played in a duplicate save that was made before removing all my cc and mods and found that it did not have the texture issue but still crashed.
I have no idea unless this specific world is just corrupted or something idk?
pls help thx
@poptartfromhell I don't see anything problematic in your dxdiag, other than the Sims 4 crashes themselves. And the fact that the new save runs fine means this is probably not a system or game issue.
Please make a backup copy of your main save. You can use "save as" to create a new save slot so you're not overwriting the current one. Go into HoB and bulldoze every lot where you've seen this issue, save, and quit. Load a new save, enter HoB, save the existing lots to your library, quit, load the experimental copy of your old save, and place the saved lots. Save, quit, and reload. Do you still see the issue?
I'm not saying you need to erase everything, only that this is a useful way to distinguish between different sources of error.
