The game will load but not let me play any households

Hi so the game will load but when I try to play as a household it will go back to selecting a world. I have tried everything, I have repaired the app and taken the Electronic Arts folder out to have ...

I've done all that and more and still the game doesn't work, it starts a new completely clean base game.

@soptik52  Yes, I know you're looking at a new save, that's the point.  Do the new sims show up in the new save or not?  The question is whether the problem is limited to your old saves or happens in new ones as well, with none of your previous content present at all.
