The Sims 4 - Not loading.

I need some help.  So today i bought Sims 4.  Brought it home. Installed it.  Then turned it off to play later on in the evening.  Anyway.. when i come to play the game i ended up spending 3 hou...

    RESOLVED:

    at long last sims loads sucessfully. checking numerous things, hope this may help people to fix there issue...

    cache was cleared for origins, no help at all.

    i have comodo internet security which had 2 unrecognised programs from when i installed the sims, one was the product activation (i think) 'au.exe' (on those lines) and the sims4.exe. after making both these files trusted by right clicking and moving to a trusted file, rebooted the machine and sims 4 will load... ONLY if the desktop 'sims 4' icon is double clicked. if the game is loaded through origin it still will not load what so ever.

    seems for me this was an antivirus issue, even when in the past a clean boot (stopping it from loading) still didnt let the sims load.

You mean TS4.exe and ActivationUI.exe? Looked into that yesterday but didnt work for me, got both files plus Origin.exe all whitelisted and nothing. Might work for some others though.

    sorry it was just the activationui.exe that was changed to trusted. so far so good this is resolved, fingers crossed it stays that way.
