The Sims 4 - Video Card Error after 35 hours of gameplay

I went to play the sims today after a few days of not playing it. I logged into Origin, opened the game and was met with the "video card error" message and all of my games are gone. I tried repairing the game, but they're still gone. I could see how this would happen as soon as I installed the game but after I've made 4 households and have 35 hours of gameplay?? I don't know what else to do and I really don't want to lose all my games that I spent so long creating.
