I have been trying to download The Sims 4 for the 48 hour free trial for a week now. It has been taking forever. It takes about 25 minutes per 1%. Also, every time the download reaches 90%, something happens and it goes back to 80%. This also happens when the download is paused for whatever reason. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it?

Download is really slow despite of fast Internet connection
This is usually the case if there's lots of people downloading at the same time. You can try pausing the download and resuming to see if it picks up in speed.
Download reverts to lower percentage
Try turning on Safe Downloading in your Origin Options (click on the spoiler below to view an exemplary screenshot).
