I thought it had something to do with the fact that the game doesn't release until November but, why would they allow you to pre-order the game if you still have to wait? If you still have to wait isn't that just pre registering? What's the difference between pre ORDERING and pre REGISTERING then? I'm a little bit confused.

Also when I open up the game it says on the little sidebar that I own Cats & Dogs but when I click it it doesn't say what is in the pack nor does the world that comes with the pack show up greyed out or with a lock icon next to it.

Mine shows release November 9th, not 10th and blatantly shows the download button at all times - but also gives me the unable to download game error.
That's the exact same thing that is happening to me. But everyone on this forum is so useless lol, they all keep saying the same bs without offering any solutions

Hi I don't have the same issue as the player asking the question but I needed to ask a question about cats and dogs. I've been trying since 5 AM yestraday to troubleshoot my game and find out what's wrong. I uninstalled the more columns mod but my screen went white even after that. Also it says on my origin that cats and dogs has not yet downloaded. I went out without my cc and mods and it was working fine, but I can't play without cc or mods so I put them back in and I got the same results from when I had the white screen. Please help me?
As your problem is not related to this thread please start your own. Give as much info as possible about your issue.
A lot of Mods and CC broke with the latest patch so remove all and try without. Look for updates where you got it.

The Cats and Dogs pack refuses to let me download it on my pc.
I have a good pc with newly installed sims 4 with all the packs I have bought, Cats and Dogs is one of them.
Every pack downloaded just fine after I reinstalled everything (because I thought that was my problem first) but Cats and Dogs will not let me download it.
It's at the top of the list of extra content and has two options: "Download" or "Gift to friend"
I press download and the button says "preparing for download" or something. It takes about 30 seconds
to a minute before anything happens and what happens every time is that a message saying the download failed pops up and
it says that I have to check my internet connection although it works perfectly.
I have disabled all my CC at the moment, I have more then enough space to download it to, I have the game and Origin updated to the latest version
but I still can't download that pack.
Anyone else have the same problem?
If not, any idea what I can do?
I've tried sending a report about the problem but I haven't gotten any answer after 4 days.

Start by stating the exact error message.
