The Sims 4 Fireplace in a Split Level Room

I'm trying to make a split-level house where the living room is the lower level room. I want to put a fireplace in it, but when I do, it sticks to the wall and floats in mid-air. I have MOO on, and ALT+0 doesn't move it any lower. How can I put a fireplace on the floor of my split-level living room? This is my first build and I really want it to be to my liking! 😕mileyhappy:

  • It's a bit tricky, but it can be done.  What you'll need to do is place your fireplace *before* you draw your walls.  So I would first draw the walls and be certain of where you want it - mark that position with another object maybe.  Then remove the room or walls you have there.  Place the fireplace, then draw each wall manually.  When it connects to the structure, it's going to form a room again and pop in your foundation, but just delete the flooring to get your split level back, and the fireplace should still remain where you placed it.  I've tested this from a building perspective but not from a playing perspective, so you should get a sim on the lot and make sure that they are able to interact with the fireplace.

    Hope this helps!

  • I don't know of any way to get a fireplace on the ground if you're using foundation.
