The Sims 4 Loading Issues.

I have recently downloaded the cats and dogs expansion pack and when I turn on my game it goes through the loading screens but, once it gets to the "sims 4" part my game window shrinks and once i go back on it it's just a blank screen. It will not load past this screen and it will not let me close the game. Help?!

    Maybe your computer no longer meets the game requirements because
    Cats and dogs requires a 64 bit system, a better processor and better graphics card than before.
    CPU: 1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, AMD Athlon 64 Dual-Core 4000+ or equivalent (For computers using built-in graphics chipsets, the game requires 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.0 GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-62 or equivalent)
    RAM: At least 4 GB RAM
    VIDEO: 128 MB of Video RAM and support for Pixel Shader 3.0. Supported Video Cards: NVIDIA GeForce 6600 or better, ATI Radeon X1300 or better, Intel GMA X4500 or better.
    but you can try to start a game in windowed mode

    Thanks so much for your help I'm pretty sure my computer still meets the requirements, however I can't be certain because I'm not good with computer language and don't really know what much of that meant haha I sound like a grandma. I'll try try loading it in windowed mode though 🙂

    So windowed mode made no difference so I'm gonna presume it's my laptop and look into it a bit more. Thanks for your help.
