The Sims 4: No masculine clothing choice

I recently had a bug making me unable to access my actual Sims 4 game without getting stuck on the title screen and having to manually shut down my computer, and I discovered that the issue was with my CC. After fixing that, I am making a male sim and there is no masculine choice of clothes so I have to 'x' off masculine and choose feminine, as the male option has completely disappeared. Feminine features all the clothes I have, including all my male clothes and tons of CC, making it harder than it should be to just find a top. I read through the forums and saw someone having a similar problem and they were told to remove all of their CC, but the only reason I play Sims now (or the only thing that motivates me to play) is decorating my house/sims with better stuff. Maybe there's a way to not have to do this?
