The sims4 CAS demo, black screen!

crinrict I asked around on The Sims 3 forums and someone suggessted to run in compatibility mode which I hadn't even bothered trying becasuse I just kinda assumed it should work with windows7.
So it now works if I ran it in compatibility mode for Windows XP (service pack 2)

No, I get a very small window, which is large enough just to have the maximize/windowed/closed buttons. There is nothing to click on.

On the black screen just right click randomly. There isn't anything to click on, but if you're having a common issue then there will be a llama face when you click.
