Time Freeze Animations Loop - Help

I play pc sims 4 and have every dlc available downloaded into the game. I logged in to play 2 days ago. I was playing a previous save in university when the time would freeze but animations would loo...

    @ofeebielayallday  Please update the driver for your Nvidia graphics card.  You can find the newest one here:

    https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/199990/en-us/

    Choose the option for a Custom (not Express) install, and check the box to perform a clean install of the driver.  Restart your computer afterwards and before trying to play.

    If you still see the same issue, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see if you run into the same problem.

    Ok, so I've been having this same issue too, except it's only happening with one of my save files (the Sim in that save is also in university). I tried removing all of my mods and cc, deleting the cache, repairing the game, updating the driver for my graphics card, and creating a new Sims 4 folder, but nothing has worked. Since I have 4 save files in total but only one is having this issue, I'm so confused about what the problem could be (especially because another save I have also has a Sim in university, but that one isn't having any problems). I don't know how to send my save or get a DxDiag, but once I figure out how to do it then I can send them if it'll help at all.

      @lovvelyveronica  If only one save is affected, then it's likely an issue with just that save, not with your computer overall.  So a dxdiag is unnecessary at this point, and so is any other system troubleshooting.  The exception would be if this one save is significantly more demanding than your others: it's possible that only this save pushes some component of your computer over its limit.

      Still, the first thing to do is to experiment with this particular save.  As a test, evict your sim and place them elsewhere, specificially on a simple (i.e. not large or overly decorated) lot in one of the base game worlds.  Use "save as" to rename the save, so the original remains intact under its current name, quit, restart your computer, load the save, and let me know whether you see the same issue.

        @puzzlezaddict Alright, so I did what you said yesterday and have played about a week in Sims time with the test save since then, and it's working fine now, I haven't gotten any issues. Is there anything else I should do, or should I just use this test save instead of my original one?
