touchpad problems
The zoom in and out function using the touchpad in my sims 4 game worked perfectly fine until yesterday, and now it totally stopped working and I have no clue how to fix it. Help?
@thatshydork I've moved your post to the Sims 4 PC tech section.
Try disabling any overlays you have running: Steam, discord, etc. Disable Origin in-game as well. To reach the setting, hover over your username, select Application Settings, then the Origin in-game header, and disable the option right at the top.
If that doesn't help, please go into Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4, remove the file labeled options.ini, and test. You'll need to reset all your game options, so test first, and if it doesn't help, just quit, delete the new options file, and put the old one back, to save yourself some work.
Thank you, but that has not seemed to help either. I may have done it wrong though.
@thatshydork Try moving your entire Sims 4 user data folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. Don't add anything to this folder yet; just test the touchpad in-game and let me know whether it works normally. Please test both the Sims 3 and the Sims 4 camera.
If that doesn't make a difference, try playing in a clean boot:

If that doesn't help either, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

It would also help to try using a mouse, if you have one to test with—it's useful to know whether the mouse functions work as intended, even if you'd prefer to go back to using the touchpad.
