Transferred from one PC to Another and cant find my saves

I recently changed move from one PC to a better one and since doing so i can't find or manage to get my save data here. Anyone able to help me?

    @the_samba_2002  I think there's a misunderstanding here.  On your new PC, the Sims 4 folder that contains Data, Delta, EP01, etc. contains the game's program files, as in, the data you installed through the EA App.  This has nothing to do with saves, saved households, or mods, and you should not be messing with its contents.  Leave that folder alone.

    Instead, please open Sims 4 on your new computer and find the Sims 4 user folder with this in-game method:

    This is the location of the Sims 4 folder that contains your saves and other user data, the same folder that's in the screenshot you posted from your old computer.  This is where your saves and other files from the old computer need to go.

    To be clear, you ONLY need to move over the contents of saves, Tray, and Mods.  It's best to leave the new folders intact and just transfer the individual files, e.g. drag the saves themselves to the new saves folder rather than replacing the new saves folder with your old one.  Don't transfer the old resource.cfg inside Mods; use the new one instead.

    If you're having trouble with any individual step, please list the full file path to the user folder that you found in-game.  More screenshots can help too.

    Hello @the_samba_2002,

    have you tried transferring the entire Sims folder from your old PC to the new one by using a USB? 

    First I would recommend to simply launch the game on your new PC and make sure that everything is working correctly, After that, you go to the game folder in the EA folder, delete the contents of the existing Saves, Tray, etc. folders, and copy over the files from your old PC.

    So i should delete all the data from the new install on my new PC. Then copy all the save data from my old PC?

    @EA_Pythia No, not yet. I was just asking for confirmation that i should delete the data on my New PC then copy over the data from my old?

    Yes, please try doing that, if the saves aren't found in the game yet. Make sure to copy it to the exact same place that the soon-to-be-deleted new folder is. Try starting the game again after that and let me know if it worked.

    Hi @the_samba_2002,

    yes, that can happen. Can you repair the game through the app, and see if it works then? If not, please follow the instructions below. Note that to follow them, you have to deinstall the game fully on the new PC again first.

    Here are detailed instruction on how it works (taken from this thread and changed to also include EA App instructions):

    On the old Computer:

    Make a note of the full install path for each game.

    Note the install and download paths in Origin/EA App Application Settings.

    Make a copy of each game's folder - ALL Of it. You will need a portable media disk or device that has room for ALL of each game, one at a time on it to move them. A small external hard drive is a good option. (This avoids separating the game folder into smaller bits and, means a cleaner move for the files.)

    On the New Computer:

    Place the games you copied from the old computer in the EXACT same locations on the new computer, creating and naming new folders as needed. They MUST MATCH THE OLD COMPUTER EXACTLY.

    Make sure the Save and Install settings in Origin/EA App are IDENTICAL on the New Computer to those on the old computer.

    Copy the Documents portion of all EA, Electronic Arts, Origin folders to the documents folder of the new computer.

    Choose one game at a time in Origin/EA App and begin the download. PAUSE it after 2-3 MB have downloaded.

    Right click on the game in Origin/EA App and choose Repair.

    Let Origin/EA App verify the files and, make any repairs that may be needed to the game.

    Move on to the next game when that is done.

    @EA_Pythia Its in my belief that i have done that and its still not working. How the files are organized in the EA app version are completely different to the Origin ones.
