Unable to edit/customize my toddler in Sims 4

I am unable to edit/customize my toddler in Sims 4. I click on the facial feature and the sim zooms into the thigh and crotch area. I also tried the detail edit and it does the same, zooms into the thigh and crotch area. How do I customize my toddler???
