unable to launch due to game license issues

Having issues with the Sims 3 and 4 launching due to GAME LICENSE issues. Requesting back end support.

recent ticket:  1d160efd-5926-4fee-b80d-52c85f091516

Ticket Summary:

Installed on new computer and unable to launch Sims 3/4 due to Game License Invalid Error stating it couldn't read the game license and to launch in online mode. EA App is in online mode, cache has been cleared, games have been reinstalled/repaired, EA App updated/reinstalled/repaired, directx installed/reinstalled, runtime installed/reinstalled, drivers updated, ran game application in admin/non-admin roles. computer restarted, and everything has been repeated multiple times. Often in different order. Error also happens when trying to launch free version of Sims 4 through Steam. EA Background services is also stopped through task manager.

  • @thisismybreak  Are you stopping the EABackgroundService before trying to launch the games?  The service should be killed when the App is closed, but it does need to run alongside the App.

    If that's not the issue, are you using a VPN?  If so, please disable it.  And if you're using a third-party antivirus, try disabling that (temporarily) to see whether it helps.  As long as you don't do anything else at the same time, your computer should be safe, and if it does help, you can set exceptions for TS4_x64.exe, TS3.exe, and EADesktop.exe.
