Unable to navigate mouse in game.

    I ended up getting a brand new computer because the issue was not just in Sim 4 it was on my Steam games and the main computer. I unboxed the computer and SURPRISE same issue. Luckily I have found the cause of the issue in case someone else asks. If the screen is a touchscreen (maybe even if it isn't) it is a possibility that the pen sensor for pen and touch support is enabled. Disabling this in Device Manager >Human Interface Device>HID compliant pen has fixed the issue I am having.

Well that worked for about an hr. Back to the drawing board for me.

@DaMaskEffect  Did anything change between when the game worked again and when it didn't?  For example, did you open any other apps, or let an update run, or really do anything at all aside from playing?  It seems like the problem is conflicting software, so the question is what was NOT active at first but then started running.

Separately, does it help to switch to DirectX 9 mode?  The option is in the graphics settings, in the lower-right corner.

Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to your reply.

    When I logged on the mouse worked, but none of my game files loaded and I couldn't actually play. It was like I was starting a new game. I had to come out of the game to see why the files weren't loading. 

    I tried in DirectX 9 mode and that made it worse it that is at all possible. 

    I attached a few pictures dxdiag. I hope this helps figure it out.

      @DaMaskEffect  I need the entire dxdiag, saved as a .txt file.

      I'm not sure why your saves wouldn't load in a clean boot, unless you also moved the Sims 4 user folder.  It would be fine if you did, but if you restored it and the problem came back, that explains what changed.  On that note, if you have any files in ConfigOverride, inside Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, please remove them.

        I ended up deleting the saved game, so that was not the issue. Right now I have no CC or any games on it. I noticed the other day that is is not just Sims it is any game that I try to play. I have updated my AMD driver and that has seemed to make it worse.
