Unable to start Video Card does not meet minimum spec

    Hello,

    I managed to fix my game by reinstalling Windows 10 altogether.

    At some point, I decided to update all my drivers from the motherboard to the network adapter. The network driver failed to update and uninstalled my previous version. It left my PC in a state where it could no longer install any drivers and no network access. Seeing how much time it was taking to troubleshoot, I realized it would take less time to back up my C drive and do a clean install of Windows. Thankfully I was already backing up most of my data so two hours was all it took.

About 2 hours has gone since I attempted the solutions and the game does not appear in my Reliability Monitor. Other softwares that I used in the meantime did appear.

I attempted to do a clean install of the latest Nvidia drivers (Uninstalled the drivers using DDU and reinstalled 528.24). I also tried to downgrade using the same steps to 516.59 and neither fixed my issue.

      @HokuHakase  I'm glad to hear that worked but sorry it was such a headache.  It's good that you fixed it on your own because the person whose opinion I asked for, when I wasn't sure what to recommend next, also didn't have any troubleshooting steps he was comfortable suggesting.  It's always a bit dicey to start changing settings or disabling software on a work computer, even if it's really a personal computer where someone also works.  Between the normal work-related software and the potential additional security settings, a lot can go wrong or respond in unpredictable ways.

      That's all a long way of saying I'm glad you got it fixed, but you might want to consider altering your current setup to keep your personal and work files separate.  A dual-boot configuration would do it, if you're willing to take a little time to set it up.  If you run into issues in the future, it's worth considering at least.

        Thank you for your message. Rest assured that I am already slowly working towards a more reliable setup. I already have many systems to support my work off my main work PC. This is the reason why I was comfortable to just reinstall Windows on my PC, I saw it only as a minor inconvenience and a step worth to do to run one game. Most of my useful data was already safe outside of the machine.

        As a matter of fact, doing this step actually fixed another issue that I had with my networking hardware. So trying to fix The Sims 4 helped a lot more than expected!
