Uninstall just one expansion?

Hi, I would like to know if I decide to no longer use a Sims expansion, do I just uninstall that one or do I have to uninstall the whole game?

    @SimTecnologic  Technically, the only supported way to uninstall a pack is to uninstall the entire game and reinstall without that pack.  However, the EA App will helpfully reinstall the pack for you the first time you launch Sims 4 even if you purposely deselected that pack and even if you've disabled automatic game updates.

    There are two workarounds for the issue.  The first is to simply disable the pack rather than uninstalling it, as described here:

    The other is to delete the folder for the pack in question.  This is not officially supported but shouldn't do any harm.  The folders will all be directly inside [install location\The Sims 4; this has nothing to do with the contents of the Delta folder.  Here's a list of pack folder names:

    You'll need to disable automatic game updates in the EA App, or the App will probably try to reinstall the pack again.

@puzzlezaddict Thanks for the info, but if I block automatic updates, then how do I get the game to update without reinstalling that package?

    @SimTecnologic  You can still start the update manually, and if the App decides to reinstall your missing pack, you should be able to cancel it.  But it's a lot easier to simply deactivate the pack rather than uninstalling and constantly trying to cancel the download.

      @puzzlezaddict Ah I understand, thanks for the explanation, I didn't really understand the difference between uninstalling and deactivating, today when I have more time I'll try to understand how to deactivate them, reading the instructions in the link you gave me, thanks again! I was thinking of buying the two Game Packs that I'm missing, Bantuu and Parenthood, and I wanted to understand if I could then remove them if I didn't like them, if maybe it's not clear to me I'll ask you for help 😉
