Uninstalling Newest Patches

Hello everyone!

As you can probably tell, I've gone on here for the first time ever just to ask a question.

Is there a way to uninstall the newest update, and if so - how?

I just got a new computer and wanted to re-download the sims to play it, but I had to get the newest update.

I didn't realise there was a new update so I downloaded all my CC (157 different items, last night, taking a few hours) and sadly it doesn't work with this update. The only reason I really play the sims is because of CC, so understandably I am pretty bored of the game now.

I would appreciate any help, even if it is some advice on how to find CC for the newest update.

(what makes this even more tragic is that I renamed every item, as I am a bit of a neat freak, so I cant even find the specific items again if they do get updated)

Thank you for reading,

Shae

  • I haven't heard  of anyway to uninstall updates,

Make new folders on desktop go to your MODS folder and cut/paste or drag however you want to do it and put them on desktop go to origin right click sims 4 icon select repair, it will reinstall the updates and any broken parts to the game then when its done put in your mods, hopefully this will sort out the problem out, if they still dont work then i would suggest delete cc redownload and one by one to see whats causing it to break or it could be the way you have renamed them?

I always make folders inside the MODS folder.  Hair/Clutter/Clothes etc and put the things Ive downloaded into the correct folders

    No way to remove updates.

Use the 50/50 approach to testing Mods/CC.

Remove half and test. If everything works you know that the item(s) that doesn't work is in the half you removed so put half of that back and test again. Continue until you have found the item(s) that needs updating.

For your own sake keep a text file with links to where you got your CC.
