Unlocked furniture not available for other homes

Hello, I reached the maximum level in a couple of careers (business and culinary) and thereby unlocked some level 10 furniture. Then I went to some other houses, but I can't acces the furniture that...

    That is exactly what I meant. It unlocks for that family, but I want to be able to unlock everything (maximising all careers one by one) so that I can continue playing with anything that my sims can buy. And ofcourse I can use the cheat, but to me if I unlock it all legit I want it to STAY unlocked. I'm going to post it as a suggestion at the place of your link. Thank you for your help!

    The topic gets a lot of responses, apparantly I'm not the only one who has an opinion about the locked items. I would invite everyone that has something to add to reply to the thread as well, to maximise the chance of it actually being picked up!
