Update causes Sims when traveling go back to the map?

Have you had this problem?? I was trying to get my Sims to go to the Park and that results to me going to the map picking a place to travel. Once I've clicked that I AT THE MOST wait 2 minutes and finally it loads! Hallelujah! But then I notice I'm back at the map?? Why?! Can someone help me fix this please?
